The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) was transitioning to requiring all projects above $100 million to complete an Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) rating. The Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade had passed design phase, so TMR elected to apply a non-certified IS approach for construction, managed through a third party contract administrator.
The RNAJV, comprising McIlwain Civil Engineering and SGQ, engaged Losee Consulting to advise on and implement sustainability alongside the project team.
