One feature that sets the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia’s (ISCA) rating scheme apart from other sustainability measurement systems is that ratings are all independently verified. Each submission is scrutinised by industry experts appointed through the ISCA Verifier Panel. Verifiers have to be knowledgeable across the diverse range of credits and make considered decisions that will be supported by stakeholders.
Scott is one of, presently, 20 members of this panel. Assessors receive one round of feedback before the final recommendation by verifiers for certification. Scott was the lead verifier for the first certified rating, the Whitsunday Sewage Treatment Plant. He is an active verifier who has verified several Design and As Built ratings, with several more underway. ISCA now has $97.9B in capital value of infrastructure registered to receive ratings.
Scott is also a former ISCA Director and current member of the Technical and Ratings Committee which certifies ratings.
